RENEWAL OF A CURRENT LICENSE:
NC MFT Licensees are required to regularly renew their license in order to maintain the right to practice. Licensees are required to renew annually. Renewal processing begins February 1 of each year. Licensees receive one full year of licensure before they are required to renew. Therefore, be sure to check your license expiration date to determine your renewal date.
The renewal packet and information about continuing education is posted below.

Please note, due to the volume of requests for services, the board cannot pre-review or pre-approve courses for your renewal.

If a course is not accepted for renewal, you will have up to 90 days from the date of notification to submit a replacement course.
THE RENEWAL PACKET MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND SUBMITTED PER THE INCLUDED INSTRUCTIONS. IF NOT, IT WILL BE RETURNED TO YOU AND THIS MAY DELAY YOUR RENEWAL. A renewal submitted on a form other than the current one will not be accepted and will be returned to the licensee for resubmission. Thank you for understanding that due to the volume of requests, the Board must receive correctly submitted forms and materials.
